HARRISBURG: The Pennsylvania Gaming Control Board today announced that it would hold a hearing on Tuesday, September 24, 2013 to gather evidence from City of Philadelphia Administration Officials regarding the six applicants for the remaining casino license in Philadelphia.

As the host city for the proposed casino, it is expected that the City will present its review and what it sees as positive or negative aspects of each project.

The hearing will begin at 11:00 a.m. at the Pennsylvania Convention Center, Room 108, in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. The hearing is open to the public and will be streamed live from the Gaming Control Board website at gamingcontrolboard.pa.gov.

All testimony and information received by the Board during these proceedings will be included in the record upon which the Board will grant or deny the license and will be available for each applicant's response in their final suitability hearing to be held later this year.

The Board reminds interested individuals that written comments for the remaining casino license in Philadelphia will continue to be accepted until September 30, 2013.

About the Pennsylvania Gaming Control Board:
The Pennsylvania Gaming Control Board was established in 2004 with the passage of Act 71, also known as the Race Horse Development and Gaming Act. Pennsylvania's first new state agency in nearly 30 years, the Gaming Control Board is tasked to oversee all aspects of the state's casino industry.
