PA GAMING CONTROL BOARD LAUNCHES NEW, USER-FRIENDLY WEB SITE<br /><i>2007 Annual Report Available for Download</i>

HARRISBURG: The Pennsylvania Gaming Control Board has launched a new web site designed to provide the public with more and easier access to information.

Located at www.pgcb.state.pa.us, the web site has an exciting design and a user-friendly navigation menu that easily permits visitors to find up-to-date information through a single click on the home page. The site also includes a Frequently Asked Questions section that provides swift answers to popular inquiries and a powerful keyword search engine that permits additional assistance in locating information housed anywhere within the web site.

“The Gaming Control Board is committed to assuring that the public is aware of what our agency is doing and how this new industry is evolving,” said Chairman Mary DiGiacomo Colins, “In order to meet that mission, it is essential that we maintain an effective web site that contains the information that is important to the public and do so in a manner that is friendly for the web site visitor.”

Visitors to the new PGCB web site can download the 2007 Annual Report by choosing a special link on the home page. The Annual Report is available in PDF format and provides information on the tremendous growth of legalized slots gaming in the Commonwealth, the role of the PGCB in assuring that the industry has proper oversight, and revenue information.

The PGCB web site will continue to evolve. Other additions will include e-mail/RSS syndication, photo galleries of items like of PGCB events, casino openings and facility construction, and capability to post audio and video feeds.

About the Pennsylvania Gaming Control Board

The Pennsylvania Gaming Control Board is tasked to oversee all aspects of gambling involving 17 land-based casinos, online casino games, retail and online sports wagering, and Video Gaming Terminals (VGTs) at qualified truck stops, along with the regulation of online fantasy sports contests.


The land-based casino industry in Pennsylvania consists of six racetrack (Category 1) casinos, five stand-alone (Category 2) casinos, two resort (Category 3) casinos and four mini-casinos (Category 4). A significant job generator in the Commonwealth, casinos and the other types of Board-regulated gaming generated $2.8 billion in tax revenue and fees in 2024/25.
