PA GAMING CONTROL BOARD UPDATES MEETING SCHEDULE FOR REMAINDER OF 2007

HARRISBURG: The Pennsylvania Gaming Control Board today updated its meeting schedule for the remainder of 2007. As part of an updated agenda, the Board has scheduled a board meeting on October 17th immediately following the 9:00 a.m. Category 3 criteria eligiblity hearing. The meeting will take place in the PUC Hearing Room 1, Keystone Building, Harrisburg.

The Board also announced that it has added an additional meeting on Thursday, November 8 at 2:00 PM in Harrisburg in the PUC Hearing Room 1, Keystone Building. Times have also been changed for the meeting on Wednesday, December 5th to 2:00 PM and on Tuesday, December 18th to 10:00 AM.

About the Pennsylvania Gaming Control Board

The Pennsylvania Gaming Control Board is tasked to oversee all aspects of gambling involving 17 land-based casinos, online casino games, retail and online sports wagering, and Video Gaming Terminals (VGTs) at qualified truck stops, along with the regulation of online fantasy sports contests.


The land-based casino industry in Pennsylvania consists of six racetrack (Category 1) casinos, five stand-alone (Category 2) casinos, two resort (Category 3) casinos and four mini-casinos (Category 4). A significant job generator in the Commonwealth, casinos and the other types of Board-regulated gaming generated $2.8 billion in tax revenue and fees in 2024/25.
