Board Approves Final Intervention Regulations

HARRISBURG: The Pennsylvania Gaming Control Board today began a 10-day public-comment period on draft regulations governing licensing hearings, and accounting and internal controls regulations. The comment period on both sets of regulations ends May 15, 2006.

Separately, the Board approved final regulations governing intervention in the hearings and appeals process.

Both the proposed regulations and the final regulations will be available for public inspection on the Board's Web site, www.pgcb.state.pa.us. To view either the draft or final regulations, click on the "Regulations" button on the home page.

Written comments on the draft regulations must be postmarked no later than May 15, 2006, and should be addressed to the Pennsylvania Gaming Control Board, P.O. Box 69060, Harrisburg, Pa., 17106-9060, Attn: Public Comments.

Under Act 71 of 2004, the Pennsylvania Gaming Control Board is responsible for licensing 14 gaming facilities across the state. The Board has jurisdiction over every aspect of the authorization and operation of slot machines in the Commonwealth.
