GAMING OVERVIEW

 

The Pennsylvania Gaming Control Board

(PGCB) is an independent state agency created by the Pennsylvania Race Horse Development and Gaming Act of 2004. It is charged with the regulatory oversite of certain types of legalized gaming in the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania.

This includes 

  • Casinos
  • Retail and online sports wagering
  • Online casino-type gaming (iGaming)
  • Video gaming terminals at truck stops
  • Fantasy sports contests

The PGCB keeps a watchful eye on these various forms of gaming to protect the interests of all Pennsylvanians. Dedicated PGCB staff create and carry out a strong, but fair regulatory framework to ensure that the gaming industry in the Commonwealth is held to the highest standards.
