BENEFIT FOR PENNSYLVANIANS
Overview
PGCB is dedicated to fulfilling its objective in the Commonwealth to deliver a significant source of revenue that provides broad economic opportunities and enhance tourism..
In 2022, legalized gambling in Pennsylvania generated, for the first time since its launch in 2006, over $2 billion annually in tax revenue. That money is returned to Commonwealth citizens in a number of ways. These include school property tax reduction for all homeowners; valuable revenue to our agricultural community through support of horse racing; grants to improve communities; bolstering of economic development projects; supporting thousands of living wage jobs; and contributions to many charities. Charitable Giving - Community Outreach
Since 2006, Pennsylvania casinos have collectively donated
towards corporate social responsibility causes and charitable activities.
Casino operators have consistently given charitable dollars to a myriad of causes. These include public safety organizations near the casino, scholarships, support of service groups and their fundraising events, parks and recreation upgrades and help for the needy. In additional to monetary donations, organizations benefit from the voluntary support of casino employees.
