HARRISBURG, PA: The Wednesday, February 7, 2018 public meeting of the Pennsylvania Gaming Control Board and Category 4 Casino Auction has been postponed due to the expected hazardous weather conditions in the Harrisburg area.

The meeting and auction have been rescheduled for Thursday, February 8, 2018 at 10:00 A.M in the PGCB’s Public Hearing Room located on the second floor of the Strawberry Square Complex, Harrisburg.

“Due to the fact that our meetings require travel from outside of Harrisburg by a number of participants, in an abundance of caution, we felt it was best to reschedule the meeting and Category 4 Casino Auction until Thursday,” said Gaming Control Board Chairman David M. Barasch.

An updated agenda will be posted on the Board’s web site, www.gamingcontrolboard.pa.gov, prior to Thursday’s meeting.

About the Pennsylvania Gaming Control Board

The land-based casino industry in Pennsylvania consists of six racetrack (Category 1) casinos, five stand-alone (Category 2) casinos, two resort (Category 3) casinos and four mini-casinos (Category 4). A significant job generator in the Commonwealth, casinos and the other types of Board-regulated gaming generated $2.8 billion in tax revenue and fees in 2024/25.
