PA Casino Slot Machine Revenue Up 1% in November

HARRISBURG, PA: The Pennsylvania Gaming Control Board posted on its web site today the monthly report for total revenue generated from the play of slot machines at casinos during November 2018.

According to the report, November’s gross revenue from slot machines at the 12 casinos was$183,069,177, a 1% increase in revenue when compared to the $181,329,655.27 generated in November 2017.   Tax revenue from the play of slots machines in November of this year was $95,362,840*.

The average number of slot machines operating on a daily basis was 25,316 during November 2018 compared to 25,827 at the casinos in November 2017.

About the Pennsylvania Gaming Control Board

The Pennsylvania Gaming Control Board is tasked to oversee all aspects of gambling involving 17 land-based casinos, online casino games, retail and online sports wagering, and Video Gaming Terminals (VGTs) at qualified truck stops, along with the regulation of online fantasy sports contests.


The land-based casino industry in Pennsylvania consists of six racetrack (Category 1) casinos, five stand-alone (Category 2) casinos, two resort (Category 3) casinos and four mini-casinos (Category 4). A significant job generator in the Commonwealth, casinos and the other types of Board-regulated gaming generated $2.8 billion in tax revenue and fees in 2024/25.
