PA Gaming Control Board Reports Gaming Revenue Rise of 14.6% in February

HARRISBURG, PA: The Pennsylvania Gaming Control Board (PGCB) reported today that the combined total revenue generated from all forms of gaming including fantasy contests during February 2026 was $547,103,943 or 14.64% above revenue generated in February 2025. The resulting tax revenue during February of this year was $236,018,507*.

 

Types of gaming regulated by the agency are slot machines and table games in casinos, internet gaming, sports wagering, fantasy contests, and video gaming terminals (“VGTs”).

The following chart compiles all revenue generated in February 2026 by casinos, along with fantasy contests and VGTs operated by other vendors and includes a comparison to total revenue generated in February 2025.

February’s revenue from the play of retail slot machines was $192,085,556, a 3.12% increase in revenue when compared to the $186,277,450 generated in February 2025.

 

The number of slot machines in operation in February 2026 was 24,303 compared to 24,404 at the casinos in February 2025.

Casino games offered online generated a record amount of monthly gross revenue totaling $239,922,058 during February 2026. Compared to revenue of $207,636,713 in February 2025, this represents an increase of 15.55%.

February 2026 total sports wagering handle was $592,462,454, 21.73% below the February 2025 handle of $756,926,216. However, the taxable revenue figure for February 2026 was $37,844,313, or 405.59% higher when compared to February 2025, when taxable revenue was $7,485,177.

Video Gaming Terminals

 

Total adjusted revenue for February 2026 for video gaming terminals (VGTs) was $3,220,992 or 0.77% higher than February 2025 when revenue was $3,196,360. By the end of February 2026, all VGT Operators offered the maximum permitted five machines at each of the 76 qualified truck stop establishments, compared to five machines at each of the 74 establishments at this time last year.

About the Pennsylvania Gaming Control Board

The Pennsylvania Gaming Control Board is tasked to oversee all aspects of gambling involving 17 land-based casinos, online casino games, retail and online sports wagering, and Video Gaming Terminals (VGTs) at qualified truck stops, along with the regulation of online fantasy sports contests.


The land-based casino industry in Pennsylvania consists of six racetrack (Category 1) casinos, five stand-alone (Category 2) casinos, two resort (Category 3) casinos and four mini-casinos (Category 4). A significant job generator in the Commonwealth, casinos and the other types of Board-regulated gaming generated $2.98 billion in tax revenue and fees in 2025.
