PA Gaming Control Board Reports Revenue for June

HARRISBURG, PA:   The Pennsylvania Gaming Control Board (“PGCB”) reported today that the combined total revenue generated from all forms of gaming including fantasy contests during June 2026 was $535,268,188 or 1.73% below revenue generated in June 2025.

The resulting tax revenue during June of this year was $234,396,489*.

The following chart compiles all revenue generated in June 2026 by casinos, along with fantasy contests and VGTs operated by other vendors and includes a comparison to total revenue generated in June 2025.

June’s revenue from the play of retail slot machines was $196,621,365, a 1.33% decrease in revenue when compared to the $199,274,153 generated in June 2025.

 

The number of slot machines in operation in June 2026 was 24,760 compared to 24,349 at the casinos in June 2025.

June 2026 total sports wagering handle was $570,255,552 or 17.91% higher than the June 2025 handle of $483,637,356.  The taxable revenue figure for June 2026 was $30,962,098, or 39.57% lower when compared to June 2025 when taxable revenue was $51,236,554.

Video Gaming Terminals

 

Total adjusted revenue for June 2026 for video gaming terminals (VGTs) was $3,256,970 or 3.3% lower than June 2025 when revenue was $3,368,2576. By the end of June 2026, all VGT Operators offered the maximum permitted five machines at each of the 75 qualified truck stop establishments, compared to five machines at each of the 73 establishments at this time last year.

About the Pennsylvania Gaming Control Board

The Pennsylvania Gaming Control Board is tasked to oversee all aspects of gambling involving 18 land-based casinos, online casino games, retail and online sports wagering, and Video Gaming Terminals (VGTs) at qualified truck stops, along with the regulation of online fantasy sports contests.


The land-based casino industry in Pennsylvania consists of six racetrack (Category 1) casinos, five stand-alone (Category 2) casinos, two resort (Category 3) casinos and five mini-casinos (Category 4). A significant job generator in the Commonwealth, casinos and the other types of Board-regulated gaming generated $3.1 billion in tax/fee revenue in Fiscal Year 2025/26.
