Board Members
Shawn Dillon was appointed to the Pennsylvania Gaming Control Board in November 2022 by Senate Democratic Leader Jay Costa.
Prior to joining the Board, Shawn Dillon served in the office of the Auditor General for over 35 years. Under his leadership, months-long backlogs of hundreds of liquor audits were completed and delivered in five months. Since then, audits are consistently completed and submitted in under 30 days, with same-day results sent to PLCB as necessary.
After graduating from Archbishop Ryan High School, Shawn began his career under Auditor General Donald A. Bailey in 1985. During his tenure, Dillon audited liquor sales for over 20 years, and served as the lead supervisor on audits of the School District of Philadelphia for seven years. Over the course of his career, Shawn worked effectively with both Republican and Democratic administrations serving under six Auditors General. Shawn retired from the office of the Auditor General in April of 2021.
Shawn resides in Northeast Philadelphia with his wife, Anna, and their daughter Ava. Shawn is active in coaching youth sports, community service, and continues to spearhead neighborhood improvement initiatives.
