Location for Gettysburg Area Resort Casino Public Input Hearing Announced

HARRISBURG: The Pennsylvania Gaming Control Board today announced that the August 31, 2010 public input hearing for Category 3 resort casino applicant Mason-Dixon Resorts, LP will be held at the Comfort Suites at 945 Baltimore Pike in Cumberland Township, Adams County. The hearing will begin at 10:00 am.

Residents, community groups and elected officials wishing to present testimony at this public input hearing must register by Noon, Thursday, August 26, 2010 by clicking on a special link on the homepage of the PGCB website at www.pgcb.state.pa.us or by contacting Board Secretary Mickey Kane by phone at 717-346-8300. Additionally, those who cannot attend but would like to submit written comments for the record can do so now until 60 days following the hearing. Written comments can be submitted either through the same web site link, by fax to 717-346-8350, or via mail to:

About the Pennsylvania Gaming Control Board

The Pennsylvania Gaming Control Board is tasked to oversee all aspects of gambling involving 17 land-based casinos, online casino games, retail and online sports wagering, and Video Gaming Terminals (VGTs) at qualified truck stops, along with the regulation of online fantasy sports contests.


The land-based casino industry in Pennsylvania consists of six racetrack (Category 1) casinos, five stand-alone (Category 2) casinos, two resort (Category 3) casinos and four mini-casinos (Category 4). A significant job generator in the Commonwealth, casinos and the other types of Board-regulated gaming generated $2.8 billion in tax revenue and fees in 2024/25.
