PA Gaming Control Board Posts 15 Local-Impact Reports

HARRISBURG: Continuing its commitment to an open and transparent licensing process, the Pennsylvania Gaming Control Board today announced that it has posted local-impact reports from 15 applicants for gaming licenses on its Web site, www.pgcb.state.pa.us. Reports from the remaining seven applicants will be posted by Friday March 10, 2006.

The land-based casino industry in Pennsylvania consists of six racetrack (Category 1) casinos, five stand-alone (Category 2) casinos, two resort (Category 3) casinos and four mini-casinos (Category 4). A significant job generator in the Commonwealth, casinos and the other types of Board-regulated gaming generated $2.66 billion in tax revenue and fees in 2024.

PA Gaming Control Board Completes Posting of Local-Impact Reports

HARRISBURG: Continuing its effort to conduct an open and transparent licensing process, the Pennsylvania Gaming Control Board today announced that it has completed the posting of local-impact reports from all 22 applicants for gaming licenses on its Web site, www.pgcb.state.pa.us.

PA Gaming Control Board to Hold April 20 Public Meeting in Pittsburgh

HARRISBURG: The Pennsylvania Gaming Control Board will hold its Thursday April 20, 2006, public meeting in Pittsburgh Chairman Tad Decker announced today. The meeting will begin at 10 a.m. at the Omni William Penn Hotel, 530 William Penn Place, Pittsburgh.

The public meeting will be held in conjunction with the Board’s previously announced public-input hearings in Pittsburgh on proposed gaming facilities in the region on Tuesday April 18 and Wednesday April 19, Decker added.

PA Gaming Control Board Seeks Public Comment on Draft Self-Exclusion, Exclusion Regulations

HARRISBURG: The Pennsylvania Gaming Control Board today opened a 10-day public-comment period on draft regulations that will protect people with gaming-related problems or potential gaming-related problems by allowing them to exclude themselves from Pennsylvania gaming facilities.

The regulations would also give the Board the power to exclude individuals whose presence at a licensed gaming facility would be contrary to the interests of the Commonwealth.

HARRISBURG: Because of overwhelming public interest in gaming facilities proposed for the Pittsburgh area, the Pennsylvania Gaming Control Board has added a day of public-input hearings on the applications, Anne LaCour Neeb, Executive Director of the PGCB, said today.

The new date, Wednesday May 10, 2006, is in addition to the previously announced April 18, 2006, and April 19, 2006, hearings on these proposals.

HARRISBURG: Because of overwhelming public interest in gaming facilities proposed for the Lehigh Valley, the Pennsylvania Gaming Control Board has added a day of hearings on the applications, Anne LaCour Neeb, Executive Director of the PGCB, said today.

The new date, Tuesday May 23, 2006, is in addition to the previously announced April 28, 2006, hearings on the three proposals.

PA Gaming Control Board Adds April 7 May 17 Hearings on Gettysburg-Area Proposal

HARRISBURG: Because of overwhelming public interest in a gaming facility proposed for Adams County, the Pennsylvania Gaming Control Board has added two days of public-input hearings on the application, Anne LaCour Neeb, Executive Director of the PGCB, said today.

These hearings – on Friday April 7, 2006, and Wednesday May 17, 2006 – will be in addition to the April 5, 2006, hearing previously scheduled on this proposal.

PA Gaming Control Board Postpones April 6 Public Meeting

HARRISBURG: The Pennsylvania Gaming Control Board has postponed the regular public meeting of the Board scheduled for April 6, 2006.

The next regularly scheduled public meeting of the Board will be held at 10 a.m. on Thursday April 20, 2006. It will take place at the Omni William Penn Hotel, William Penn Place, Pittsburgh.

The new date, which will be announced when details are complete, is in addition to the previously announced hearing dates of April 10-12, 2006.
