HARRISBURG, PA: The Pennsylvania Gaming Control Board today fined Mount Airy #1 LLC, operator of Mount Airy Casino Resort in Monroe County, $70,000 for underage gambling violations.

The Board unanimously approved a consent agreement negotiated by the Office of Enforcement Counsel for two 2010 underage gaming violations at the Monroe County casino involving 15 and 16-year-old juveniles.

HARRISBURG, PA: The amount of gross revenue generated in December 2010 through the play of slot machines at Commonwealth casinos rose 12.72% over the previous year, according to figures released today by the Pennsylvania Gaming Control Board.

The play of slot machines at the ten operating casinos produced $174,772,637 in gross revenue in December 2010 compared to $155,048,230 in December 2009. Tax collections by the Commonwealth on that amount last month was $95,665,380, a per-day average of $3.08 million in tax revenue.

Table games produced $38,520,402 gross revenue in November resulting in $6,163,264 in tax revenue after applying the 16% tax rate (14% to the Commonwealth’s General Fund and 2% to the local host county and municipality). That compares to $40,893,425 in gross revenue and $6,542,948 in tax revenue during October 2010, a decrease of 6.16%.

HARRISBURG, PA: The Pennsylvania Gaming Control Board today placed three individuals on its involuntary Casino Exclusion List, an action that prohibits these individuals from entering or patronizing any casino in the Commonwealth.

HARRISBURG, PA: The Pennsylvania Gaming Control Board today fined Downs Racing. L.P., operator of Mohegan Sun at Pocono Downs, a total of $47,000 for three occurrences where persons under the age of 21 played slot machines.

The civil penalty was unanimously approved by the Board at its public meeting Thursday in Harrisburg as part of consent agreement between the Board’s Office of Enforcement Counsel and Downs Racing.

HARRISBURG: The Pennsylvania Gaming Control Board announced today that the start time for its meeting on Thursday, December 16, 2010 will be 9:00 am rather than the previously announced 10:00 am start.

The meeting venue remains at the Pennsylvania State Museum Auditorium in Harrisburg.

Table games produced gross revenue of $40,897,115  in October resulting in $6,543,538 in tax revenue after applying the 16% tax rate (14% to the Commonwealth’s General Fund and 2% to the local host county and municipality). That compares to $36,866,126 in gross revenue and $5,898,580 in tax revenue during September 2010, an increase of 10.93%.

HARRISBURG: The Pennsylvania Gaming Control Board today approved two grant requests totaling $177,488 to law enforcement agencies to fund programs designed to thwart illegal gambling in the Commonwealth.

These were the fourth and fifth awards approved by the Board under the Law Enforcement Grant Program since the program was amended by the state legislature in January of this year. Grants approved today went to the:
