HARRISBURG: The Pennsylvania Gaming Control Board today updated its meeting schedule for the remainder of 2007. As part of an updated agenda, the Board has scheduled a board meeting on October 17th immediately following the 9:00 a.m. Category 3 criteria eligiblity hearing. The meeting will take place in the PUC Hearing Room 1, Keystone Building, Harrisburg.

HARRISBURG: The Pennsylvania Gaming Control Board announced the revocation of permits or registrations of four individuals. License revocations are the most severe penalty undertaken by the Board against the holder of any type of gaming license.

HARRISBURG: The Pennsylvania Gaming Control Board announced today that it is canceling its Tuesday, October 30, 2007 meeting.

The next meeting of the Board will be Thursday, November 8, 2007. That meeting is scheduled to begin at 2 P.M. in PUC Hearing Room 1 of the Keystone Building located at 400 North Street, Harrisburg. The Board will post an agenda on its web site, www.pgcb.state.pa.us, prior to the meeting.

HARRISBURG: The Pennsylvania Gaming Control Board today approved seven grant requests totaling $1,007,673 to local law enforcement agencies to fund programs designed to thwart the operation of illegal slot machines in the Commonwealth.

This was the second round of approvals by the Board under a $5 million annual grant program developed and approved by the Legislature as part of the Pennsylvania Race Horse Development and Gaming Act. The funding is drawn from revenues generated from licensed slot machine facilities.
