HARRISBURG, PA: The one-thousandth request to be registered with the Pennsylvania Gaming Control Board’s successful voluntary Self-Exclusion Program has been received.

The Self Exclusion Program, which began in late 2006, assists problem gamblers who choose to ban themselves from gambling at Pennsylvania casinos. Once a person is placed on the Self-Exclusion List, gaming facilities in the Commonwealth must:

Under the Pennsylvania Race Horse Development and Gaming Act, all operators must seek renewal of their license on an annual basis.

HARRISBURG: The Pennsylvania Gaming Control Board today announced a hearing will be held on Thursday, November 12, 2009 to gather evidence, including public comment, on the renewal of the Category 1 slot machine operator’s license of Mountainview Thoroughbred Racing Association, operators of Hollywood Casino at Penn National Racecourse.

The hearing will begin at 10:00 am at the East Hanover Township Municipal Building located at 8848 Jonestown Road, Grantville, PA 17028.

HARRISBURG: The Pennsylvania Gaming Control Board approved a consent agreement today that assessed Chester Downs and Marina, LLC, operating as Harrah’s Chester Casino and Racetrack, a fine of $45,000 for failing to deal with a disruptive patron in a manner consistent with its own internal requirements.

HARRISBURG: The diligent observation of an on-site Pennsylvania Gaming Control Board employee triggered the start of an investigation that led to the arrest of three men charged with the alleged theft of more than $420,000 from The Meadows Racetrack Casino in Washington County.

The charges filed Monday by Washington County District Attorney Steven M. Tropani were the culmination of a Pennsylvania State Police investigation that began when a PGCB Casino Compliance Representative observed and reported the potentially illegal actions.

Under the Pennsylvania Race Horse Development and Gaming Act, all operators must seek renewal of their license on an annual basis.

HARRISBURG: The Pennsylvania Gaming Control Board today approved the corporate restructuring of Mount Airy #1, LLC, a decision that transfers ownership of the Pocono-based casino and resort from Louis DeNaples to his daughter Dr. Lisa A. DeNaples.

The approval came after the Board reviewed testimony submitted earlier today where Mr. DeNaples, along with representatives of Mount Airy #1, LLC outlined the objective for the transfer.
