HARRISBURG, PA: The Pennsylvania Gaming Control Board today released its annual Racetrack Casino Benchmark Report.  Since its first release in 2008, this annual report has concentrated on the impact of Pennsylvania casinos on the state’s horse racing industry.

HARRISBURG, PA: The Pennsylvania Gaming Control Board today announced that it would hold public hearings on Tuesday, June 2 and Wednesday, June 3, 2015 to gather evidence, including public comment, on the renewals of the casino licenses for Holdings Acquisition Co., L.P., operator of the Rivers Casino in Pittsburgh, and Washington Trotting Association, Inc., operator of The Meadows Casino in Washington County.

HARRISBURG, PA: Revenue from table games play at Pennsylvania casinos was $69.7 million in March 2015, the highest single month of revenue to date according to a report released today by the Pennsylvania Gaming Control Board. 

Together, the 12 casinos generated more than $69.7 million in table games revenue, an amount 2.7% higher than revenue generated from table games in March of 2014.  $10,079,933 in tax revenue was produced and returned to the Commonwealth in March of this year.

HARRISBURG, PA: The Pennsylvania Gaming Control Board today approved a fine of $15,000 against Greenwood Gaming & Entertainment, Inc., operator of Parx Casino in Bucks County, for allowing underage gambling at its facility.

The fine was the result of an approved Consent Agreement between its Office of Enforcement Counsel and Greenwood Gaming, and involved two instances of permitting individuals under the age of 21 to access its casino floor and gamble:

HARRISBURG, PA: Revenue from table games play at Pennsylvania casinos was $63.9 million in February 2015, according to a report released today by the Pennsylvania Gaming Control Board. 

That amount is an 11.84% increase in revenue from table games play during February of this year compared to February of 2014. Together, the 12 casinos generated just under $64 million in table games revenue which, in turn, returned $9,215,810 in tax revenue to the Commonwealth.

HARRISBURG, PA: The Pennsylvania Gaming Control Board today unanimously voted to renew the Category 1 casino operator’s license of Harrah's Chester Downs and Marina, LLC, operator of Harrah’s Philadelphia Casino in Delaware County.

The seven member Board determined that Harrah's Chester Downs and Marina had fulfilled the obligations under its  current casino operator’s license and therefore qualified to have its license renewed for a three-year period.
