HARRISBURG, PA: The Pennsylvania Gaming Control Board reported today that the difference in slot machine revenue generated at casinos during May of this year differed by less than 1% compared to May of 2012.

HARRISBURG: The Pennsylvania Gaming Control Board today announced that it would hold a public hearing on Tuesday, June 25, 2013 to gather evidence, including public comment, on the renewal of the casino license of Harrah's Chester Downs and Marina, LLC, operator of Harrah's Philadelphia Casino and Racetrack Delaware County.

The hearing will begin at 9:30 a.m. at Chester City Hall, 1 E. Fourth Street, in Chester, Pennsylvania. 

HARRISBURG, PA: The Pennsylvania Gaming Control Board announced today that revenue generated from the play of table games at Pennsylvania casinos during April of 2013 was 8.9 percent above table games revenue produced last April.

According to a report posted today on the Board’s web site, www.gamingcontrolboard.pa.gov, this April’s gross table games revenue generated by 11 casinos was $61,552,334 or $5,052,710 higher than in April 2012 when revenue totaled $56,499,624. 

HARRISBURG, PA: The Pennsylvania Gaming Control Board today levied fines against two casino operators totaling $105,000 for various violations.

All of the fines were the result of consent agreements between the PGCB’s Office of Enforcement Counsel and the casino license holders which were approved by the Board at its public meeting in Harrisburg.

Three of the consent agreements approved by the Board today involved Holding Acquisition Co., LP, operator of the Rivers Casino in Pittsburgh, resulting in total fines of $100,000.

HARRISBURG, PA: The Pennsylvania Gaming Control Board today unanimously approved the request by the operator of SugarHouse Casino in Philadelphia to modify a previously approved-development plan of the facility.

The approved modifications include a repositioning of the parking garage along with a reduction in height of the garage, an expansion of the current gaming floor space, and the addition of new space that can be used for events and conferences. 

The Pennsylvania Gaming Control Board reported today on its web site that the collective slot machine revenue produced at the 11 casinos during April dropped 4% compared to April of last year.

According to the monthly report at www.gamingcontrolboard.pa.gov, this April’s gross revenue from the play of slot machines statewide was $205,155,405, or approximately $9 million less than the gross revenue of $214,149,502 produced in April 2012.

HARRISBURG, PA: The Pennsylvania Gaming Control Board today announced that it will hold a hearing on Tuesday, May 7, 2013 in Philadelphia to receive comment from the public in consideration of the HSP Gaming, L.P. (SugarHouse Casino) request to modify its previously approved-development plan.

The hearing will begin at 2:00 p.m. at the National Constitution Center's Kirby Auditorium located at 525 Arch Street. 

HARRISBURG, PA: The Pennsylvania Gaming Control Board announced today that it has added a 2nd day next month at Lincoln Financial Field to collect public input for the awarding a casino license in Philadelphia.

HARRISBURG, PA: The amount of revenue generated from the collective play of table games at Pennsylvania casinos during March of 2013 was the highest monthly amount to date, 9% higher than revenue produced last March.

According to a report posted today on the Pennsylvania Gaming Control Board's web site, this March's gross table games revenue was $67,383,247 or $5,518,702 higher than in March 2012 when revenue totaled $61,864,545. That revenue total last March had been the highest to date since table games were introduced at Pennsylvania casinos in July 2010.

HARRISBURG, PA: The Pennsylvania Gaming Control Board announced today that the room location at the Pennsylvania Convention Center for this week’s public input hearings relevant to the awarding of the second casino license in Philadelphia has been changed.

Both days of the hearings on April 11th and 12th will now be in Room 204 A/B. The time for the hearings, 9:00 a.m. to 9:00 p.m. on Thursday and 9:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. on Friday, remain the same.

The public is invited to attend.
