HARRISBURG: The Pennsylvania Gaming Control Board today announced that it would hold a public hearing on Tuesday, August 20, 2013 to gather evidence, including public comment, on the renewal of the casino license of Mountainview Thoroughbred Racing Association, operator of Hollywood Casino at Penn National Race Course in Dauphin County.

The hearing will begin at 9:30 a.m. at the East Hanover Township Building, 8848 Jonestown Road in Grantville, Pennsylvania.

HARRISBURG, PA: The Pennsylvania Gaming Control Board on Wednesday levied fines totaling $20,000 against two eastern casinos.

The fines were the result of consent agreements between the PGCB’s Office of Enforcement Counsel and the casino license holder which were approved by the Board at its public meeting in Harrisburg.

HARRISBURG, PA: Revenue from table games play at 11 Pennsylvania casinos was $59.5 million in June 2013, according to a report released today by the Pennsylvania Gaming Control Board. That represented a 4.2% increase in revenue from table games during June of this year compared to June of 2012.

The monthly report, posted on the Board's web site, www.gamingcontrolboard.pa.gov, also shows $8.5 million in tax revenue was generated from table games this June.

The fines were the result of consent agreements between the PGCB’s Office of Enforcement Counsel and the casino license holder, and were approved by the Board at its public meeting on Wednesday in Harrisburg.

HARRISBURG: Revenue generated at casinos from the play of table games jumped sharply during May of this year, according to figures posted today on the Pennsylvania Gaming Control Board web site.

With an average of 1,042 tables in daily operation statewide during May, gross revenue from the play of table games was $62,758,499. That amount was 13.6% higher than in May 2012 when revenue totaled $55,224,988 with an average of 1,031 tables operating on a daily basis.

HARRISBURG: The Pennsylvania Gaming Control Board today announced that copies of six independent reviews of traffic impact studies produced by each of the applicants for the Philadelphia casino license are now available for review on the Board's web site.

The reviews, conducted by Orth-Rodgers & Associates, Inc. of Malvern, Pennsylvania in collaboration with Pennsylvania Department of Transportation (PennDOT) District 6-0 and the City of Philadelphia, evaluated the completeness, consistency and compliance with applicable regulations.

HARRISBURG, PA: Greenwood Gaming and Entertainment, Inc., operator of the Parx Casino in Bucks County, agreed to a fine of $15,000 for conducting business with two Gaming Service Providers who were on the Pennsylvania Gaming Control Board's prohibited vendor list.

The fine was the result of today's Board approval of a consent agreement between the PGCB's Office of Enforcement Counsel and the casino license holder.

The hearing will begin at 9:30 a.m. at Chester City Hall, 1 E. Fourth Street, in Chester, Pennsylvania.
