HARRISBURG: The Pennsylvania Gaming Control Board announced that as of today it has received four applications for the two available Category 3 licenses permitting the operation of up to 500 slot machines at a resort hotel. Applications were to be postmarked no later than June 29, 2007.

HARRISBURG: A public meeting of the Pennsylvania Gaming Control Board has been scheduled for Sunday, July 8, 2007 at 9:00 p.m. to permit the Board to take any necessary action should the Central Control Computer System be unavailable the following day. That system, operated by the Department of Revenue, controls and links all slot machines to one central computer.

HARRISBURG: The Pennsylvania Supreme Court today unanimously affirmed the licensing decision of the Pennsylvania Gaming Control Board to award a Category 2 slot machine license to Mt. Airy Lodge (Mount Airy #1, LLC) in the Poconos.

HARRISBURG: The Pennsylvania Supreme Court today affirmed the licensing decision of the Pennsylvania Gaming Control Board to award a Category 2 slot machine license to HSP Gaming, LP (SugarHouse Casino) and Philadelphia Entertainment and Development Partners, LP (Foxwoods Casino).

The ruling was a result of an appeal filed by Riverwalk Casino, LP, one of the applicants denied a license in December by the Board for a stand alone slot operator license in Philadelphia

HARRISBURG: The Pennsylvania Supreme Court today affirmed the licensing decision of the Pennsylvania Gaming Control Board to award a Category 2 slot machine license to PITG Gaming, LLC.

Gaming Control Board Chairman Tad Decker said that the Board is pleased that the Court upheld a decision that was reached only after a very in-depth process to choose the best facility for Pittsburgh and the Commonwealth.

HARRISBURG: A special meeting of the Pennsylvania Gaming Control Board has been scheduled for Thursday, July 26, 2007 at 2:30 p.m. to consider petitions by HSP Gaming, LP (Sugarhouse Casino) and Philadelphia Entertainment and Development Partners, LP (Foxwoods Casino).

HARRISBURG: Thomas “Tad” Decker today announced that he will not seek a second term as Chairman of the Pennsylvania Gaming Control Board and will leave that position effective August 9, 2007.

Decker oversaw the development of the Gaming Control Board, an organization that did not exist and now has a staff of over 250 individuals with offices in Harrisburg, Pittsburgh, Philadelphia and staff currently on-site at five casinos.

HARRISBURG: Top management from six of Pennsylvania's slot operators appeared before the Gaming Control Board yesterday and reported on the status of construction and updated plans for state-of-the-art permanent gaming venues.

HARRISBURG: Judge Mary DiGiacomo Colins has assumed Chairmanship of the Pennsylvania Gaming Control Board as only the second person and first female to hold that position.  She succeeds outgoing Chairman Thomas “Tad” Decker.

Judge Colins has served on the Board as an appointee by Governor Edward G. Rendell since its inception in 2004, was reappointed to a second three-year term, and named by the Governor last week to take over this top post.

HARRISBURG: James B. Ginty was sworn in as the newest member of the Pennsylvania Gaming Control Board during its regular meeting held Wednesday in Philadelphia.
