HARRISBURG, PA: The Pennsylvania Gaming Control Board today posted on its website the revenue figures for May table games play at the eleven operating casinos.

With an average of 1,031 tables in daily operation statewide during May, gross revenue from the play of all table games was $55,219,978. That amount was 7.4% higher than in May 2011 when revenue totaled $51,401,083 with an average of 891 tables operating on a daily basis.

HARRISBURG, PA:  The Pennsylvania Gaming Control Board today reported that the play of slot machines at the eleven operating casinos produced $212,457,169 in gross revenue in May 2012 compared to $205,532,236 during May of last year, an increase of 3.4%.  That resulted in a return of $114,928,891 in taxes to Pennsylvania citizens during May, an average of $3.7 million of taxes collected per day.

HARRISBURG: The Pennsylvania Gaming Control Board today released its fifth annual Racetrack Casino Benchmark Report.  Since its first release in 2008, this annual report has concentrated on the impact that Pennsylvania’s casinos have had on the state’s horse racing industry.

HARRISBURG, PA: The Pennsylvania Gaming Control Board today levied fines against two casinos for allowing gambling by underage patrons.  One of these casinos was also fined for permitting individuals who are on the PGCB’s Self-Exclusion List to gain access to the casino floor and gamble.

With an average of 1,031 tables in daily operation statewide during April, gross revenue from the play of all table games was $56,499,624. That amount was 6.83% higher than in April 2011 when revenue totaled $52,889,279 with and an average of 869 tables operating on a daily basis.

HARRISBURG, PA: A long-time Gaming Control Board investigator whose background also includes work with the Secret Service and with local law enforcement has been named Director of the Bureau of Investigations and Enforcement (BIE).

Mauro joined the BIE in January 2006 as a Supervisor in the Harrisburg office, then promoted to Deputy Director of BIE in April 2007. Upon the retirement of the BIE’s first director, David Kwait, in December 2009, Mauro undertook the leadership role of the BIE.

The Pennsylvania Gaming Control Board today reported that slot machine revenue in April was $214.1 million, 1.3% higher than revenue produced last April by casinos.

According to the monthly report posted today on the Board’s web site, www.gamingcontrolboard.pa.gov, this April’s gross revenue at the 11 operating casinos from slot machine play was $214,149,502 compared to $211,390,229 of gross revenue in April 2011.

HARRISBURG, PA: On the heels of a record amount of monthly revenue for slot machines during March of this year, the Pennsylvania Gaming Control Board today announced that revenue for table games that same month was also an all-time high.

With an average of 1,028 tables in operation statewide during March, gross revenue from the play of all table games was $61,864,545. That amount was $7,257,927, or 13.3% higher than in March 2011 when revenue totaled $54,606,617 when an average of 854 tables were operating on a daily basis.

HARRISBURG, PA: The $233,147,479 in gross revenue from the play of slot machines at Pennsylvania’s casinos marked a record high for any month since legalized gaming began in November of 2006.

HARRISBURG, PA: The play of table games during February at Pennsylvania casinos generated tax revenue of more than $9 million, the highest amount recorded since the inception of table games in July 2010, according to figures posted today on the Pennsylvania Gaming Control Board’s web site, www.gamingcontrolboard.pa.gov.
