HARRISBURG, PA: The Pennsylvania Gaming Control Board (PGCB) today fined Mount Airy #1, LLC, operator of Mount Airy Casino Resort and SugarHouse HSP Gaming, L.P, operator of Rivers Casino Philadelphia for violations related to the issuance of complimentary free slot machine play.

The Pennsylvania Gaming Control Board is tasked to oversee all aspects of gambling involving 17 land-based casinos, online casino games, retail and online sports wagering, and Video Gaming Terminals (VGTs) at qualified truck stops, along with the regulation of online fantasy sports contests.


The land-based casino industry in Pennsylvania consists of six racetrack (Category 1) casinos, five stand-alone (Category 2) casinos, two resort (Category 3) casinos and four mini-casinos (Category 4). A significant job generator in the Commonwealth, casinos and the other types of Board-regulated gaming generated $2.54 billion in tax revenue in Fiscal Year 2023/24.

HARRISBURG, PA: The Pennsylvania Gaming Control Board has announced today that its public meeting scheduled for October 28, 2020 at 10:00 a.m. will be available for view from the Board’s website. The meeting will be held online to minimize risks associated with public gatherings in accordance with COVID-19 health guidelines.

Gaming Control Board Reports Slight Rise for Total Gaming Revenue in September Over Previous Year

HARRISBURG, PA: Figures released today by the Pennsylvania Gaming Control Board show total gaming and fantasy contests revenue generated in the Commonwealth during September 2020 was $284,235,444 which represents an increase of 1% compared to revenue generated in September 2019.

Gaming Control Board Reports Total Gaming Revenue for July

HARRISBURG, PA: Figures released today by the Pennsylvania Gaming Control Board shows total gaming and fantasy contests revenue generated in the Commonwealth during July 2020 was $283,051,763 which represents a 0.56% increase over revenue generated in July 2019 of $281,482,227.

All 12 casinos were in operation for all or most of the month for the first time since March when state-mandated Covid-19 restrictions were put in in place.
