HARRISBURG, PA: The Pennsylvania Gaming Control Boardannounced today that a “subsequent round” of Category 4 Casino Auctions will begin on March 21, 2018.  That decision comes after today’s auction concluded with no bids being received for a Category 4 Casino License.

Gaming Control Board Reschedules Category 4 Casino Auction; Cancels Board's Public Meeting Due to Weather

HARRISBURG, PA: The Pennsylvania Gaming Control Board announced that it has postponed today’s scheduled fifth Category 4 casino auction and cancelled today’s public meeting due to the closure of government offices in the Harrisburg Capitol Complex.

PA Gaming Control Board to Hold Public Hearing on April 5th for Sands Casino Resort Bethlehem License Renewal

HARRISBURG, PA: The Pennsylvania Gaming Control Board will hold a public hearing on Thursday, April 5, 2018 to gather evidence, including public comment, on the renewal of the operator’s license for Sands Bethworks, LLC, operator of Sands Casino Resort Bethlehem located in Northampton County.

The hearing will begin at 10:00 a.m. at the Bethlehem Town Hall, 10 E. Church Street, Bethlehem, PA 18018.

HARRISBURG, PA: The Pennsylvania Gaming Control Board today announced that Greenwood Gaming and Entertainment, Inc., which operates the Parx Casino in Bucks County, gained the award in the fourth auction in a process that establishes the order in which the winning bidders select a location for a Category 4 casino.

Bid for Fourth Category 4 Casino Auction Invalidated by PGCB;

HARRISBURG, PA: The Pennsylvania Gaming Control Board’s Executive Director Kevin O’Toole announced this afternoon that the location of the bid submitted today by Sands Bethworks Gaming, LLC for a Category 4 casino location intruded upon the reserved area of a previously secured Category 4 location held by Mount Airy #1, LLC.

January Table Games Revenue 2.2% Lower Than Last Year

HARRISBURG, PA: Gross revenue from gambling at table games in Pennsylvania casinos during January 2018 was down 2.2% compared to January of last year, according to figures released today by the Pennsylvania Gaming Control Board.

Mohegan Sun Pocono Fined $7,500 by PA Gaming Control Board for Self-Exclusion Violation

HARRISBURG, PA: The Pennsylvania Gaming Control Board today approved a fine of $7,500 against Downs Racing, LP, operator of Mohegan Sun Pocono in Luzerne County, for a Self-Exclusion List violation.

The fine was the result of a Board approval at its public meeting of a consent agreement between the PGCB’s Office of Enforcement Counsel and Downs Racing LP.

HARRISBURG, PA: The Wednesday, February 7, 2018 public meeting of the Pennsylvania Gaming Control Board and Category 4 Casino Auction has been postponed due to the expected hazardous weather conditions in the Harrisburg area.

The meeting and auction have been rescheduled for Thursday, February 8, 2018 at 10:00 A.M in the PGCB’s Public Hearing Room located on the second floor of the Strawberry Square Complex, Harrisburg.
