HARRISBURG: The Pennsylvania Gaming Control Board today announced that it would hold a public hearing on Tuesday, October 15, 2013 to gather evidence, including public comment, on the renewal of the casino license of Sands Bethworks, LLC, operator of Sands Casino Resort Bethlehem in Northampton County.

The hearing will begin at 10:00 a.m. at the Bethlehem Town Hall located at 10 E. Church Street in Bethlehem, Pennsylvania.

HARRISBURG, PA: The Pennsylvania Gaming Control Board on Wednesday levied fines totaling $68,000 against two casinos and one vendor.

The fines were the result of consent agreements between the PGCB's Office of Enforcement Counsel and the casino license holders and vendor which were approved by the Board at its public meeting in Harrisburg.

HARRISBURG, PA: Revenue from table games play at the 12 Pennsylvania casinos was $63.5 million in August 2013, according to a report released today by the Pennsylvania Gaming Control Board. That represented a 6.1% increase in revenue from table games play during August of this year compared to August of 2012.

The monthly report, posted on the Board's web site, www.gamingcontrolboard.pa.gov, also shows $9.1 million in tax revenue was generated from table games this August.

HARRISBURG, PA: The Pennsylvania Gaming Control Board reported on its web site today that August gross revenue from slot machine play at the 12 operating casinos was $205,374,891 and generated $109,977,203 of tax revenue to the Commonwealth.

That gross revenue amount was 2.5% lower than revenue generated from slot machines in August 2012 when revenue hit $210,584,315.

HARRISBURG: The Pennsylvania Gaming Control Board today unanimously voted to renew the Category 1 casino operator's license of Downs Racing, LP, operator of Mohegan Sun at Pocono Downs in Luzerne County.

The seven member Board determined that Downs Racing had fulfilled the obligations under its initial casino operator's license and therefore qualified to have its license renewed. The new license is good for a three-year period.

That represented a 6.1% increase in revenue from table games play during July of this year compared to July of 2012.

The monthly report, posted on the Board’s web site, www.gamingcontrolboard.pa.gov, also shows $8.6 million in tax revenue was generated from table games this July.

HARRISBURG: The Pennsylvania Gaming Control Board today announced that it would hold a hearing on Tuesday, September 24, 2013 to gather evidence from City of Philadelphia Administration Officials regarding the six applicants for the remaining casino license in Philadelphia.

As the host city for the proposed casino, it is expected that the City will present its review and what it sees as positive or negative aspects of each project.

HARRISBURG, PA: The Pennsylvania Gaming Control Board reported on its web site today that July gross revenue from slot machine play at the 12 operating casinos was $204,909,480 generating $109,707,423 of tax revenue to the Commonwealth.

That amount was 3.7% lower than revenue generated from slot machines in July 2012 when revenue hit $212,871,833.
