HARRISBURG, PA: Revenue from table games play at Pennsylvania casinos was $59.9 million in August 2012, according to a report released today by the Pennsylvania Gaming Control Board. That represented an 11.1% increase in gross revenue from table games during August of this year compared to August of 2011.

HARRISBURG: The Executive Director of the Pennsylvania Gaming Control Board, Kevin O'Toole, has been named the recipient of the International Masters of Gaming Law's (IMGL) Gaming Regulator of the Year for the Americas.

HARRISBURG, PA: The Pennsylvania Gaming Control Board reported on its web site today that August gross revenue at the 11 operating casinos was $210,584,315, a figure 5.7% higher than gross revenue from slots in August 2011.

For the 10 casinos that were open for the full month of August in both 2011 and 2012 there was also an increase in slot machine gross revenue of 3.7%. That comparison does not include the Valley Forge Casino Resort which opened at the end of March 2012.

Tax revenue to the Commonwealth this August totaled $113,558,137.

HARRISBURG: The Pennsylvania Gaming Control Board on Wednesday unanimously voted to renew the Category 2 casino operator’s license of Mount Airy #1 LLC, operator of the Mount Airy Casino Resort located in Paradise Township, Monroe County.

The seven member Board determined that Mount Airy #1 LLC had fulfilled the obligations under its current operator’s license and therefore qualified to have its license renewed. The renewed license is for a three-year period.

HARRISBURG, PA: The Pennsylvania Gaming Control Board today posted on its website the revenue figures for July table games play at the eleven operating casinos.

With an average of 1,037 tables in daily operation statewide during July, gross revenue from the play of all table games was $56,482,941. That amount was 1.8% higher than in July 2011 when revenue totaled $55,475,411 with an average of 911 tables operating on a daily basis.

HARRISBURG, PA: The Pennsylvania Gaming Control Board reported on its web site today that July gross revenue from slot machine play at the 11 operating casinos was $212,871,833 generating $115,253,719 of tax revenue to the Commonwealth.

That amount was 2.49% lower than revenue generated from slot machines in July 2011 when revenue hit $218,300,465. However, the July 2011 figure was boosted by a fifth full weekend (Friday through Sunday) of business compared to just four full weekends in July of this year.

HARRISBURG, PA: The Pennsylvania Gaming Control Board (PGCB) today levied a $45,000 fine against Washington Trotting Association, Inc. for permitting four underage persons to gamble at its facility, The Meadows Racetrack & Casino, earlier this year.

In addition, a fine of $5,000 was levied by the Board on Greenwood Gaming and Entertainment, Inc., operator of the Parx Casino, for doing business with a prohibited gaming service provider.

HARRISBURG, PA: Revenue from table games play at Pennsylvania casinos was $57.1 million in June 2012, according to a report released today by the Pennsylvania Gaming Control Board. That represented a 15.5% increase in revenue from table games during June of this year compared to June of 2011.

The June figure boosted table games revenue during the 2011/12 Fiscal Year to $663.9 million, an increase of 30.8% over the previous state Fiscal Year.
