HARRISBURG, PA: Figures released today by the Pennsylvania Gaming Control Board shows total gaming and fantasy contests revenue generated in the Commonwealth during October was 11% above revenue generated in October 2018.

HARRISBURG, PA: Activity during September in the Commonwealth sports wagering industry increased significantly over the previous month of August according to figures released today by the Pennsylvania Gaming Control Board.

According to one of four new revenue reports posted today under the Revenue tab on the Board’s website, total revenue derived through retail and online sportsbooks totaled $14,888,872, or 143.5% above revenue of $6,115,016 in August.

HARRISBURG, PA: The Pennsylvania Gaming Control Board today posted on its web site September’s Fantasy Contest Revenue Report which shows revenue of $2,929,047 in September 2019, an increase of 37.27% over September of last year when revenue was $2,133,714.

Tax revenue collected from the play of fantasy contests in September of this year was $439,357.

HARRISBURG, PA: The Pennsylvania Gaming Control Board today posted on its web site the initial reports of revenue generated by Video Gaming Terminals (VGTs) at truck stops.

Two operators have thus far placed VGT’s in a total of seven truck stop establishments, with the first VGT establishment opening on August 16, 2019. Total adjusted revenue from this first opening through September 30, 2019 was $324,710.

HARRISBURG, PA: The Pennsylvania Gaming Control Board today approved a fine of $150,000 against Downs Racing, L.P, operator of Mohegan Sun at Pocono Downs, for not meeting mandated minimum staffing levels of its security staff.

 The fine was the result of a Board approval at its public meeting of a consent agreement between the PGCB’s Office of Enforcement Counsel and the casino operator.
