HARRISBURG, PA: Ira Lubert, who is currently licensed by the Pennsylvania Gaming Control Board in connection with an ownership interest with Holdings Acquisitions Co., LP, operator of Rivers Casino Pittsburgh, today won the award to select a location for a Category 4 casino in an auction conducted prior to the Board’s public meeting.

HARRISBURG, PA: The Pennsylvania Gaming Control Board has announced today that the Category 4 casino license auction along with its public meeting scheduled for September 2, 2020 at 10:00 a.m. will be available for view from the Board’s website. The meeting will be held online to minimize risks associated with public gatherings in accordance with COVID-19 health guidelines. 

HARRISBURG, PA: Figures released today by the Pennsylvania Gaming Control Board shows total gaming and fantasy contests revenue generated in the Commonwealth during July 2020 was $283,051,763 which represents a 0.56% increase over revenue generated in July 2019 of $281,482,227.

All 12 casinos were in operation for all or most of the month for the first time since March when state-mandated Covid-19 restrictions were put in in place.

The combined gross revenue figures include slot machine, table games, sports wagering, i-gaming, video gaming terminals (VGTs) and fantasy contests.

HARRISBURG, PA: The Pennsylvania Gaming Control Board (PGCB) announced today that it will conduct an auction for a Category 4 slot machine license on September 2, 2020 at 10:00 a.m. prior to its regular Board meeting.

The new auction will be held to carry out provisions in Act 23 of 2020 which directed the Board to conduct one auction for the Category 4 slot machine license previously applied for by Mount Airy Casino Resorts, but which was subsequently denied.

HARRISBURG, PA: With land-based gaming options unavailable during the entire month of May, Pennsylvania operators continued to see substantial increases in activity through online options for casino type games.

May 2020 revenue for online casino-type games, which include slot machines, table games and poker, jumped 30% over the previous month of April 2020.
