PA Gaming Control Board to Hold Public Hearing on December 15th for Mount Airy Casino Resort Slots License Renewal

HARRISBURG: The Pennsylvania Gaming Control Board today announced that it would hold a public hearing on Thursday, December 15, 2011 to gather evidence, including public comment, on the renewal of the Category 2 slot machine operator’s license of Mount Airy #1 LLC, operator of the Mount Airy Casino Resort.

The hearing will begin at 10:00 am at the Paradise Township Municipal Building, located at the intersection of Routes 191 and 940 in Cresco, Pennsylvania.

Pennsylvania Gaming Control Board Releases October Slot Machine Revenue Totals

HARRISBURG, PA: The Pennsylvania Gaming Control Board reported today on its web site that total revenue generated through the play of slot machines at Pennsylvania casinos during October held steady compared to the amount generated a year ago.

According to the report, this October’s gross revenue at the 10 operating casinos from slot machine play was $197,174,198 compared to $197,459,415 of gross revenue in October 2010, a difference of just 0.14%.

Gaming Control Board Releases September Table Game Revenue

HARRISBURG, PA: The play of table games during September at Pennsylvania casinos generated tax revenue of almost $8.3 million, according to figures posted today on the Gaming Control Board’s web site, www.gamingcontrolboard.pa.gov.

Pennsylvania Gaming Control Board Renews Casino Operator's License for Sugarhouse Casino

HARRISBURG: The Pennsylvania Gaming Control Board on Thursday unanimously voted to renew the Category 2 casino operator's license of HSP Gaming, LP, operator of the SugarHouse Casino in Philadelphia.

The seven member Board determined that HSP Gaming had fulfilled the obligations under its initial casino operator's license and therefore qualified to have its license renewed. The new license is good for a three-year period.

PA Gaming Control Board Changes Meeting Location

HARRISBURG: The PA Gaming Control Board is changing the location of its October 13, 2011 public meeting in Harrisburg. The meeting was previously scheduled in the North Office Building but will now be held at the Harrisburg Capitol, East Wing, Room 8-A. 

The next scheduled meeting of the Gaming Control Board will be Tuesday, November 22, 2011 in the PUC Keystone Building, Hearing Room 1. The PUC Keystone Building is located at 400 North Street, in Harrisburg.

Pennsylvania Slot Machine Revenue Up 7.4% in September

HARRISBURG, PA: The Pennsylvania Gaming Control Board reported today on its web site that total revenue generated through the play of slot machines at Pennsylvania casinos during September rose 7.4% over the amount generated a year ago.

According to the report, September gross revenue at the 10 operating casinos was $200,148,304 from slot machine play, generating tax revenue to the Commonwealth of $108,732,491.  Gross revenue in September 2010 was $186,365,015.

GAMING CONTROL BOARD RELEASES AUGUST TABLE GAME REVENUE

HARRISBURG, PA: The play of table games during August remained strong at Pennsylvania casinos resulting in a generation of tax revenue of over $8.8 million, according to figures posted today on the Gaming Control Board’s web site, www.gamingcontrolboard.pa.gov.

Gross revenue from the average 918 tables in operation on a daily basis during August was $54,756,909.  Pennsylvania taxes gross table games revenue at 16% which resulted in a return of $8,835,866 of tax revenue returned to the Commonwealth.

The Pennsylvania Gaming Control Board Approves Fines Totaling $42,000

HARRISBURG, PA: The Pennsylvania Gaming Control Board has levied fines totaling $42,000 for regulatory violations by the operator of two casinos in the Commonwealth.

The fines were the result of consent agreements, approved by the Board at its September 14, 2011 meeting, between the PGCB’s Office of Enforcement Counsel and Holdings Acquisition Co., L.P., operator of the Rivers Casino in Allegheny County and HSP Gaming, LP, operator of the SugarHouse Casino in Philadelphia.
