PA Gaming Board Opens Registration For Oct. 27 Pittsburgh Diversity Forum

HARRISBURG: The Pennsylvania Gaming Control Board today opened registration for the second of two gaming diversity forums designed to promote the inclusion of women- and minority-owned businesses in the Commonwealth's emerging gaming industry.

This forum is scheduled for Thursday Oct. 27, 2005, in the main ballroom on the campus of Duquesne University in Pittsburgh. A downloadable registration form and tentative agenda for the day-long event are now available on the Board's Web site, www.pgcb.state.pa.us. Registration instructions are on the form.

Act 71 of 2004, which authorized expanded gaming in the Commonwealth, requires the Board to promote diversity in all aspects of gaming in Pennsylvania.

The Board is still accepting registrations for its first forum, scheduled for Thursday Sept. 29, 2005, on the campus of Temple University in Philadelphia. Details of the Philadelphia forum and the registration form are available on the Board's Web site.
